Kind of Ironic, but I finished this project today, Veterans Day. This was done for one of my employees. Her son just got home from Iraq and they have a 1-2 year old that will be getting this for Christmas.
Thanks to SMOKA for providing the awesome graphic work!!
man that is NICE.. I've seen a couple of military themed jeeps but not many trucks.
I've been trying to decide how to paint my kids tank when I finish it, camo, desert khaki or that flat OD, and everytime I see one painted like yours I lean towards the OD.

where did you get the flat black and olive krylon fusion. I dont think I have ever seen those colors. I might have not been looking I really want to flat black out one of mine.
"Time to take a ride on the information superhighway."
They were with/near the rest of the Krylon Fusion colors, but the cans were camoflaged (go figure)and the graphics were a little different. Also look at the caps as they will have ULTRA FLAT in white on them.
Okay I looked today and YES the "camo black" was way over on the other side but of course they were out. At first I thought maybe you used the "satin black" fusion. But then I went way down the isle and saw the "camo brown" and a sticker right next to it "black camo" THANKS hopefully I can get some soon.
Do you have any of the flat black powder off on your hand if you rub it?? I say this because all the flat black I have painted before is so powdery and if you touch it your fingers are black.

Yes, this paint is very powdery. My thought is that it is almost too fast drying. Make sure to blow of the part between coats or you'll have spots that look like they are painted, but are actually just covered in dust. As long as you let it cure for a week, it comes out great and won't rub off provided you've prepped it correctly. I found 400 grit provided a good amount of roughness that was then smoothed out with the paint.
Awesome truck! How did you contact Smoka? Did you just email him through this forum? thx

I haven't seen him around in a long time either. I tried contacting him a while back for a current project and he never responded, so I moved on. He seemed to be pretty busy when he did the truck and might have even mentioned he was not into PWs anymore - but it has been a year since then, so my memory may be a bit foggy.
