The simplest way to make your power wheels or other ride on faster, is by upgrading the voltage. There are other ways such as installing different motors and gearboxes, but for this FAQ we'll stick to upping the voltage as it requires much less technical knowledge than than the aforementioned upgrades.

If you are new to power wheels modifications, it would probably be a good idea to stick with upgrading only to 18volts, as opposed to 24volts. 18 volts can pretty much be run on any power wheels that came stock with a 12volt system and still maintain a good level of reliability/longevity. For those cars that came as 6volt stock, you would be safer sticking to 12volts(someone with more experience on 6volt cars should chime in here).

For a how-to on upgrading from 12 to 18 volts, check out this link.
