You actually built a project, AND finished it?

Looks really good.

Running 24 volts to motors in parallel? If yes, that speed actually doesn't sound too bad.

Forward/reverse switch still functions?

Any "fully assembled" pictures?

Projects: Jeep, Bigfoot, Lil' Quad, Dora Quad, Dirt Grinder, Nascar, Intro, Ultimate Gaucho

Great job - videos of a child on it and using the controllers would be nice. This video seems to be identical to the Blue KFX video that you recently did... With NO KIDS testing it! Do you even have kids? I am getting a little suspicious! :)

Thanks,
Bonner

Maybe a video of one of your children on the blue one.. I am just curious how well it operates under kid control!

Do they really know how to go slow - fast - slow or is it like FLOOR IT, FLOOR IT, FLOOR IT like most kids do?

Thanks,
Bonner

My son is pedal to the metal most of the time. BUTT, when he needs to go slow, he definitely does, including slowing down for corners, etc. Driving into the "parking spot" in the garage for example, he'll just creep along.

If you look at my video on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGPU9-ETVf8
My son comes around the corner on the Bigfoot at partial throttle at about 22 seconds, then continues along at partial throttle. The pedal gets harder to push the further it goes, so he has to actually try to go full throttle.

When running around the dirt grinder, he is constantly letting up and going again. Unfortunately, letting up for him is releasing his grip on the twist throttle, so then he has twist his wrist up and re-grip to go again.

Projects: Jeep, Bigfoot, Lil' Quad, Dora Quad, Dirt Grinder, Nascar, Intro, Ultimate Gaucho

Awesome - my son is really into parking and backing up his PW's! Especially the Hurricane - guess I am going to have to go full variable on the Hurricane now...

Thanks for the info!

Bonner

Gameboy, do you have a wiring diagram on how you connected the controller box to operate the foot pedal as a brake?
Thanks

Thanks Gameboy!
I'm guessing if I reversed the power leads from the controller box, the foot pedal would act as a brake instead of a "power on" switch.

I really want to do this but was looking for input from others. I e-mailed gameboy since he left us so I am sure I will get some info back from him. Anyway I have all the parts to do this except the key but that's easily obtained.
I am just really lost on the BRAKE I think it doesn't really have one

Also where did he get 24V motors?

Wow, gameboy... you are too good. I will have to come see you sometime lol. We still need to get some kind of small or mid sized meet together. Whenever we do, we could post ads on CL for it, maybe get some modders that dont know about this site, or other people like I was and never knew you could mod PW.

That quad is awesome. That is the same as the red and black Ultimate Traction one right? I have a brand new one in my garage. Never even hooked a battery up to it yet. Still isnt even fully assembled.

Even though I laughed so hard I almost got choked becuase of the out come and the 3yr olds participation, and I can relate since my son is now 3 and I undersand, but you could have drawn a picture with a pencil and take a pic with camera, and sent it to computer to be compressed to smaller file size.... But I guess this works too and it made me smile.lol.
