This looks like a pretty good deal. Anyone have one to comment on it?

Someone posted another newer schumacher yesterday. I wonder if they are about to phaze out the 600a and the maintainer. Because both of these newer chargers have about the same specs as the older ones we all use here.

The manual is available at http://www.batterychargers.com/Documents/00-99-001034-0310.pdf. Yeah, it definitely looks like a replacement model.

I have the prior model. The new model has something called "Auto Voltage." If that means that it automatically detects the voltage when you hook up the battery, than that would be very helpful to me. My Schumacher has a button that you have to manually switch from 6v to 12v. Just yesterday I was charging my 6v and for a few minutes I forgot to switch from 12v to 6v. I can see this happening again to me, so the "auto voltage" seems like a good feature to have.

I agree .... I have one of the older ones as well and have more than once charged a 6v battery at 12v for a short time.

I just bought one. I needed another charger anyway now that I have upgraded from 12v to 18v and am using a combination of 6v and 12v batteries now.

Also, the manual says it has a desulfation mode.

But what happens on dead batts that you want to try and desulphate? When its 3 volts showing up how does it know if its 12v or 6v battery?
