I know it's not a power wheels but I could really use some help.
This was my wife's when she was a kid, and she wants to get it going for my son. I know it works, as I hooked it up to a lantern battery. But I need to get a rechargeable for it. I have the charger it came with. I don't see any batteries with a connection that looks the same, do they make them anymore? will I need to rewire the whole thing? Any help is appeciated.

If it was me, I'd attach a new connector, one end for the toy, one for the battery: http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/CON-321/2-CONDUCTOR-WATERPROOF-CONNECTOR-AWG-10/-/1.html

and a matching connector for the charger: http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/CON-320/2-CONDUCTOR-WATERPROOF-CONNECTORS-18-AWG//1.html

Or, if you take the charger to a real electronics place (not Radio Shack anymore) they might be able to match it.

Any SLA from a reasonable supplier - check the batteries thread for links and prices.

Grubers are pretty popular.

Sorry for all the questions. Should I assume it's a 6 volt?

I'd start with a 6v, and see how fast (or not) it is.

I did some ordering over the weekend for a battery and connectors, we'll see what happens. I have no Idea what brand it is, I looked everywhere for markings, I had it taken apart the other day and cleaned it, sanded a ton of surface rust off of it. Only thing I know is that it had to be made in the late 70's. I was hoping someone on here might be able to give me some info, LOL.
