Some folks have used these http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/dash-gauges/in-dash-voltmeter-95779.html or these http://cgi.ebay.com/Blue-LCD-Digital-Volt-Voltage-Voltmeter-Meter-Measure-/280575534699?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41539ae66b

I have used both and yes the digital is more accurate simply because it is a digital output vs an analog output. Do I think it matters not really.

I haven't seen any inexpensive round gauges. Auto meter and some other name brand manufactures make digital gauges but they ain't cheap.

Cool! I got that same one, but haven't installed it yet.

This is my first post in a good while. I've been busy with various things. I've got a huge backlog of MPW emails. I'm wondering whether I should try to catch up or just start with newer posts.

I don't recall seeing any. Usually the low range starts at 7 or 8 volts. Then you have higher voltage ones for golf carts and stuff. You may be able to find one for an old farm tractor is about all I could think of.

what i was thinking, is as the battery drains, the voltmeter would move to the left. it would act like a gas gauge. it won't work that way if i used an 8v right?
