Hello there from Juarez city, Mexico! I was surprised to find out there is a forum for folks that are really into modifying/collecting these cars, kudos to each and everyone of you! I bumped into this forum in searching for the car that my father in law gave to my son, Couldn't find anything on it so I hope someone out there knows some history on this little car.... It was definitely made for the Sonic restaurant chain, but I can't find anything on who made the car. I could be a prototype as the pedals are actually just bare switches, they do not have pedals... and it has 3 pedals, one for drive, one for reverse and one that acts like a safety switch, if this last one is not pressed, the car won't go on either front or back, you have to keep pressing this switch. BTW, The car was not bought here in Mexico, I crossed it over.

If anyone out there has any knowledge on this please let me know.
Thanks!

Wow!
I was not expecting a response this fast! Cool!

Yes, the car is like brand new, the only thing missing is the charger, but I use a car battery charger and it works great

I am going to ask my father in law to give me the whole story on how we got the car, I think it was a display unit for one of the restaurants, not sure if it was ever intended to hit the streets (so to speak) this is why the car is like new. My 3 year old is the one using it, but I'm not sure if he should be using it or if I better be holding on to it as a collectible or whatnot.

Thank you guys, I'll reply as soon as I have the pics and the story on it.

I have no clue what the market is for classic Mustangs is in Mexico, but I am sure that would go for a mint in some muscle car areas of the US. That said, I say let your son enjoy it. That is a sweet ride!

Hey there,

Unfortunately it is pretty bad over here, my family and myself have been fortunate enough in not witnessing any of these events, I must assume that all of the persons being killed are involved in one way or another, but there have been a lot of innocent people caught in the crossfire, and there have been so many killings that to me it's just impossible for the authorities to keep up, so we are at a point that we will never know if they were involved or just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Actually all of Mexico is just as bad, don't know why Juarez is the only one in the news. The stats show an average of around 2,500 deaths a year since 2007!!

It's a shame that Mexico has some of the strictest gun laws of any country, and they only serve to protect the criminals. There's no way I could abide by those laws, under those circumstances.

You got a CHERRY Mustang there!

Welcome to the site!
