I just got a used 4-5 year old Gator for my 4 year old daughter. It needs work and I am looking for some advice.

I want to put it back to original for now, with maybe a couple of mods. Later, after she gets better at driving, I may tune it a bit.
The battery is from 2006 and is wearing out. I ordered a replacement from the recommended source here. thanks.

I think there is a short in the harness on the blue shell around the battery. Should I get a new harness or just make my own? Do I need the rubber shell?

I need to get:
A windshield
Key (she wants it)
Passenger handle
Passenger side bed handle
Possibly new wheels
Seat belts
Thinking of putting a Gaucho radio in the John Deere logo on the passengers side
Battery guage would be nice

Thanks for any help and advice!

Also thinking of getting a Gaucho for my son, so they don't fight over vehicles.

Columbus. I was looking on Kidswheels. They have the full rebuild kit, is it worth it?
