18v "nitrous" upgrade...
8.18 KB I thought I was clever, until I searched for nitrous and found alot of other guys have already done this!
6.69 KB Relay installed to run "nitrous". Will upgrade to at least 12v battery as soon as it shows up!
10.56 KB Pic of the wiring from the steering wheel button. |

While taking the steering wheel and shaft out of the truck, I decided that it was too big of a pain in the butt to fight those stupid push clips that hold the shaft in the steering linkage. One quick measurement and oh yeah....its close enough of a diameter to add 3/8-24 threads to it....
9.12 KB Used a 3/8-24 die to cut threads onto the steering shaft. 3/8-16 may work also, but I had the 24 pitch nut right there.

Kids tend to just clamp down on the nitrous button, I keep telling my 4YO not to launch while holding the button down but he doesn't listen..
Not sure I would go to a 12v boost battery unless you get some fans in there to cool the motors at 24v most motors won't last long.
I use 4 fans and have considered going 18v PLUS a 12v boost, only thing holding me back is the thought of having to spend another $70 for two motors. |

| Hey forgot to mention if you do go 24v glue or screw a BMX tire onto the front wheels to help him keep straight There's a great video online. In 24v my 4yo would turn the wheels and the truck would still go straight! |

If you put two nitrous buttons in series, one on each side of the steering wheel, it at least makes him keep his hands on the wheel while going fast |

My 4YO sees his brother standing up or hopping on his Razor motorcycle and has recently tried to "ghost drive" while going down the street.
I had just commented to my wife that maybe I should mount a second gas pedal up top so that he could "surf"
she was not amused! |
