So I see the other day the favicon has been changed. What prompted the change? I guess this is really a question for Jason.

Just curious really? Did the old one not look fast enough

I noticed that the other day as well, but now mine is back to the same old one as before...

Edit - looks like it's cached in Firefox and a ctrl-f5 doesn't clear it. I just tried in IE and got the new Favicon. Hmm.

Come on Taz keep up to speed on all this I mean there are only a few computer acronyms and jargon. Of course it seems that people are making up new ones all the time.

Just the other day I read that POS really stands for "Parent Over Shoulder". I guess kids use this when texting near parents. That was the first time I had ever heard that for POS. I guess that just means I am old

Yeah I've heard of Point-of-sale and the other POS, but never Parent-Over-Shoulder. Count me in for the old folks too!

Wow I swore I typed mine is a small red car. Not blue. I need to either focus on work or on power wheels. I guess. This multitasking is nuts.

I'm still seeing the red car too, but the funny thing about favicons is that IE doesn't always update them (not sure about Firefox). You might have to remove any bookmarks and then come back to the site to see a new one.

I don't use ie but when forced to. I opened IE8 added the site as a bookmark and no favicon was set just the default ie logo.

Also grabed this addon that lets you reset favicons. No change still a red car.

Yeah I usually only use IE for managing updates, but at work it's all we have. And we only recently went from IE6 to IE7.

I prefer the old favicon of the red car.

It's awesome at the original size, but unrecognizable as an icon.

Yeah, I agree. I believe favicon images are scaled down to 16x16 by the browser.

yup if it was bigger the new one is cool. But for the size of those little guys I say the old jeep is better. The new one looks like a dark moon wearing sunglasses.
