I came across a Spider-Man Lil Quad sitting on the front porch of the Downtown Rescue Mission Thrift Store down the road from me. They wanted only $5.99 for it. It seemed to be in great condition. Some of the stickers have peeled off and the battery appears to be dead, but mechanically it is fine.
I noticed that this Lil Quad is made by Rand, not Power Wheels. Instead of the gearbox powering both rear wheels, this one powers only the rear right wheel. The gearbox is located next to the wheel on the outside. The steering seems a lot tighter than a stock Dora Lil Quad. There is a metal bracket going between the two axles for added support. The steering rod seems a little longer than on the Dora Lil Quad. The circular piece of plastic that the steering rod goes through on the Dora Lil Quad does not exist on this one. Also, there is a rubber traction strip built into each of the tires. I like the way the Spider-Man Lil Quad is set up, except for the fact that the gearbox is a good bit noisier than the one on the Dora Lil Quad.
I used Saw's Lil Quad picture for reference when modifying the webbing of the seat to allow a 12V 12Ah battery to fit. Here is Saw's reference picture.
Here is a video of my son and daughter riding the Spider-Man Lil Quad together on 12V.

I forgot to mention that the pictures in my previous reply were of the Rand Spider-Man Lil Quad.
Pictures of the steering components on Power Wheels Lil Quads are available at http://www.modifiedpowerwheels.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3040. If those are not sufficient, please let me know. I can post additional pictures of the steering parts on our Dora Lil Quad if necessary.

No that is great I have some lil quads and was just wondering what was different between the pw and others. The metal brace being the main diffrence I see. Also did the steering come assembled with bolts instead of rivets or did you upgrade to bolts?

Here are pictures of the actual seat that I modified to accommodate a 12V 12Ah battery. It seems to fit perfect.
