I'm having a hard time finding answers for this particular model. It was actually my original jeep when i was little. im in college now and am tired of walking I couldn't downsize the pic so i attatched a random that is the same as mine. It came with two 6v batteries and i'm getting ready to amp up the power. I've read that low power is ran in-line and hi is ran parallel. Here come the questions...
1. Would buying 2 12v batteries get me the power i'm looking for? if not, what battery setup would be best
2. I'm having a hard time finding new tires.. the ones on the back have burnt completely through (six kids...)

If these questions have already been asked i'm sorry, im new to the entire power wheels thing and the website..

Thanks in advance,
Brad

Are you wanting to ride this yourself?

if you add 2 x 12volt battery for 24 volts you are going to have to do a lot of upgrading. Otherwise you will be toasting parts.

Someone should be able to hook you up with some metal frame jeep wheels in the buy and sell forum.

If any jeep can move you...thats the one. I have actually run one of those on 24volts in its stock form. It worked fine for the one day that I did it. Your extra wieght is probably going to be to much for it over time. Staying on hard surfaces will help. If you can find a set of 11T Metal frame gearboxes they will gear it down and help save the motors and wireing. Yours should have 13t gearboxes. 10ga wire would not be a bad idea either. I think I have some more of those wheels too. Let me know if you need them.

Plan B would be to change over to a scooter motor and controller.

Drive it like you stole it!........out of somebody's garbage!

Yeah it's going to be me riding it, I weigh 150ish. I have to buy new tires and am definitely planning on getting new gears/motors/heat sinks for it. I tore it down and painted it today, it's already looking great i just need it running great. If yall have the wheels does that mean it comes with the tires? I'll have to tear down the gears/motors and verify the tooth count. Where would a good place to buy the motors/gears be? Friends are already jealous, bought headlights/taillights earlier today

Air horn - http://www.harborfreight.com/100-db-old-fashioned-sound-ooga-air-horn-96291.html

Have one of these in the red jeep and it is LOUD!! Mounted it in the space behind the back bumper.
