Finally got around to working on these two today. A little work in the garage, then inside.

I ended up putting the 2 gearboxes from the Big Jake in the Enforcer and the Barbie got its original. Only problem was the axle from the Jake was bent, now with a shortened 2 seat jeep axle fitted on the Jr., the left gearbox/tire wobbles - the axle is straight, could one of the gears inside cause a wobble I ran out of time to get it torn apart....And I took a little from Taz's lil jeep and kept the Jake drivers to add a bit more width to the rear on the Enforcer - not much but enough
Started to do a complete rewire, at least on the barbie - its for my niece and she needs the high/low, Dylan on the other hand is good so I think I'm just going to toss in the Jake harness, little less headache, not to mention waste

I'll get some pics later but there really isn't too much to notice

If your keeping the Big Jake super6 motors you may want a hi/low switch. They get a little hard to park when they do major burnouts every time you hit the pedal. Look forward to seeing pics.

I know what you mean, he loves his super6 quad and I hated to get rid of the Firerock we had.....

Well I ended up getting the barbie wired up tonight. Guess it was a bit easier than I had thought, just had to modify some of the spade connectors. I haven't hooked up the motors or put the car side connector on - that can wait till tomorrow, past my bedtime

...and I was able to rip open the wobbly gear box, I think the hole that holds the metal pin for the middle gear got rounded out - may be in the market for a case if anyone has one lying around

Which half? I have one that has the cover rounded out but the back half (motor side) is ok (I think, have to confirm). Also I've noticed that the 3A gearboxes take a small black spacer between the GB and the driver. It seems to cut down on wheel wobble.(I haven't figured that one out yet)

I want to say its the motor side but I'd have to double check as well - let me know. I saw the spacers you were talking about, I held onto them but replaced them with a couple flat washers

Well got the Pink Barbie all wired up and it works - only 1 catch, the gas works like a brake hook the battery up and motors run - hit the gas and they stop, just like a brake....the forward/reverse and high/low switches all work just like they should. I checked the wiring and it matches the one on the left as far a I can tell...I'm guessing its something simple - can someone chime in...thanks

And I was curious so I took apart the other gearbox for the enforcer and it had a rounded hole for the center gear pin so I guess I'm just going to roll with them and see what happens - thanks taz and wrencher, I'll let you know if that changes

No big deal, I took apart the "good" one and it had the rounded hole for the middle gear peg too so I got a feeling thats the way they are made. I'm just going to run it as is

Well they're both done Nothing earth shattering or major bling, just extra speed for the kids I just ended up dropping in the harness from the Big Jake, seemed the easiest since I wasn't going to add the high/low on the Enforcer like I did the Barbie. I did just have to wire in the smaller pedal switch which wasn't a big deal. You can see how the rears on the Enforcer stick out just a bit more with the other drivers

I'll probably end up having to brace up the front and rear like some have done, but we'll see how they perform and go from there

What I did find that may help some other novice guys with the wiring was that when you have to splice in 3 wires, especially between the battery and switch - I used a spare spade connector I had laying around and insulated it like normal with some heat shirk. That way I could crimp the main wire in the normal end and do the split on the spade ends and crimp them, then solder it all. It save me from having to fumble around trying to hold 3 wires together and solder them at the same time This may have been an obvious solution to some but thought the suggestion may help someone else
