Let me begin by saying that we have some tremendous people on this forum. I got great input from other projects here and was able to secure parts I needed for the build from Drew510, TurboKev, Nascar and others.

I picked up this plain jane jeep from my sister for $20.

84.06 KB

54.34 KB
Everything was in working order but the battery would no longer hold a charge. She was the second owner and amazingly enough the hi-speed screw was still in place. I felt a little guilty so I made up for it by slapping a 12v in my niece's Firerock. I think we're even!

77.45 KB
I picked up six spotlights from Harbor Freight. These things are bright!

28.79 KB
For the headlights and tail lights I removed the strobe option. How To Here. These lights fit perfectly and look stock. Notice that to fit the unibody grill, you'll need to trim off the screw hole tabs around the light frame to get the plastic PW lenses to fit over the lights properly.

68.34 KB
I used a hole saw to cut out the centers of the KC Lights.

56.43 KB
I thought I had more pics of this portion of my build, but I will have to take a few more to show the work if anyone is interested. Anywho, I glued two round trailer lights over the KC Light frames so that everything would easily snap back and again look stock. I ran the wires down thru the metal roll bar tubing and wired in a push button swith that allows the red emergency lights to strobe at two different speeds or stay on constantly.

23.27 KB
The same lights also just fit inside the stock tail light frames. I had to do a little trimming to get these trailer hitch covers to fit.

35.57 KB
Gives it just a little more custom look.

96.25 KB
I added a lift kit, side pipes painted silver, diamond plate stickers and a water cannon to complete the look.

87.18 KB
I haven't decided about adding the larger wheels, but I do have a set of chrome hub caps ready to go.

88.48 KB
On the dash you can barely see the light switches and push buttons. The set on the right control the emergency flashers. The set to the left control the headlights and tail lights. The lsft push button switch will eventually activate a horn of some kind to be added later.

96.82 KB
In this picture you can see the only wire that is visible for the emergency lights. I also put in a little PA system. The siren is under the hood along with a 12v5ah battery just for the lights. The PA runs on a 9V battery. It's designed to fit on a kids bicycle handle bars. It can be switched between a siren or a megaphone.

94.6 KB
I've bumped it up to 18V with 3-6v12ah Zeus batteries. I plan to add a charging port in the gas cap so I don't have to keep getting under the seat to charge it up each time.

Still have a few little things yet to do to complete the build but couldn't wait to share the pics.

Ok so here's my only question about wheel size. Will it lose much speed with the larger wheels?

Nice job ~!

as for the tires, you will actually gain top speed, but lose a little bit of torque/acceleration.

For every revolution of the gearbox, you'll be traveling an extra foot or so~

10" wheel = 31.4 inches per revolution
11" wheel = 34.5 inches per revolution
14" wheel = 43.9 inches per revolution

Thanks,
Kev

It will actually go FASTER with larger tires.
You lose some torque for off-roading, since you have the 19T gearboxes, but the 18 volts will more than compensate.

You're looking at about a 20-30% boost in top-end speed

Actually, I'm planning on swapping out the 16T in the Enforcer for 19T "soon"

I only have the front end sag to fix on this project. Just before the holidays I found a working Fire Rescue jeep in the area for next to nothing. I harvested as many usable parts as I could from it and was able to add the larger wheels, dash and hood to my project. The rest of the pieces went to my nephews jeep. I will update with some newer pictures soon.
