This guy near me is selling this old buggy. What would you offer for it? He just told me to come by and make an offer. Old battery no charger

I hate it when they do that I wish they would just give a price so you could talk them down. Every time I throw out a price its like im tryin to low ball them. But me personally wouldnt pay more than $40 for that but it really depends on ho much you want it and whats your budget.

Yea that's my problem too. I have no clue what he thinks it's worth. As we all know we see some crazy craigslist ads where they want way too much. I was going to start by offering him $20-25

I believe its called a Powertech Slammer and Taz11 has one.

Offer him $20 and explain to him why. Tell him about the battery $60 plus charger $20. That way you can tell him you'll be into the ride for $100 and then you dont know if it works.

The battery goes under the seat in the rumble seat area. Not so sure that the wheel drivers on this would handle 12 volts. Its like a roll pin through the axle and into a small slot in the wheel. Not anything like other power wheels.

I just got back with it

It was bigger than i thought. Tires have a nice wide stance

Its awesome. has all the original parts and stickers just like PW Warehouse. Camera Batteries are charging now and will post pics tonight. It came with the Grey 6volt 12ah battery.

I don't care how fast it is...It is freakin awesome!! I have to look at the gearbox and motor now and put power to it.

PWWarehouse? This is the only powerwheel i've seen with 2 foot pedals...I guess one is throttle and one is a brake???? I just tried it and looks like you press both to make it go....

Going back out to check it out now

Since there is no floor board they were after little ones to keep there feet on both pedals to make it go,if one would happen to slip off then it would stop automatic. Pretty cool ride though isn't it. I bought one of mine about 6-7 years ago off of ebay out of georgia. The other came from a local auction. The only 2 I have ever seen. They have to be pre 1990 in my opinion.

Here are the pictures. I picked it up for $20. It was dusty from being in his garage so i wiped it down real quick. I tested it on 6V and 12V and it runs like a champ. All the pieces seem to be with it including the battery cover.

PWWarehouse- Do you know if on yours there is a small metal bracket going from the gearbox to the body?

And this is how the gearbox is setup

Told ya you could get it for $20. Nice work, it looks really clean. That gear box looks like its a 13b with a pentagon driver.

It's still dirty i have to take it all apart..It will be a good winter project[;). And it has an old 3B Pentagon output gearbox.

I was thinking it's real easy to add a second gearbox to this also.

I think 2 Titan 550s and heatsinks with fans on 18 or even 24Volts might be the way i go. I have to pick up some 8T metal pinions too. I'll let the kid drive it for the next few weeks on 12V then strip it down and rebuild it over winter

Well the kid drove this one all day long on 12Volts. It is not winning any races with a single gearbox but it drives great and he loves it. Get some video of it tomorrow posted. Family was over today so i'm still chasing my tail and picking up

That's the first thing he thought of when he saw it. I don't think we will be putting any Mario or Nintendo stuff on it. Keeping it original is the way to go.

So as i posted in the General Discussion i ran into a snafu with one of the switches on the Hot Rod. Broke the main contact flush with the switch bottom. I was barely even pulling on the wire but it was very brittle.

But needless to say i got it all worked out and was able to use parts from another switch to fix the original switch

I tested the switch to make sure it was working and everything looks good.

Yea i have too much going on. I'm putting the Corvette on the back burner again. I want to squeeze the 21Ts into the Corvette and make it a real race car but it will be useless in the grass so that's staying home. 3wheeler is just sitting..Son is not sure he likes it because it rolls on him and wheelies..so that will be staying home also. I think the only two that we'll bring is the Yellow Quad and Jeep. I'm going to try and put the 21Ts in the Quad just for racing. As long as i keep the battery weight down in it and the grass is short i should get away with it and a 30A Fuse should not blow track day. As for this Hot Rod. It is not very fast...."Yet" But i just might bring it for laughs. I have to see if i can get it back together before then.
