I didn't really see a paint that looked close enough to the red plastic, so I change the gas tank color scheme a little. Let me know what you think.

Well, I think it looks fine - but personally, I don't like the Harley's.

Your bike here looks like new - if anything, the paint is too shiny on the gas tank compared to the rest of the bike!

can you flatten the gloss abit. the gas tank looks great but it screams I am not supposed to be on this bike. I can truely appritiate the detailed painting though, I can't do it it. the make a slightly foggy mist, it just seems to need to match the saddlebags and seat to belong at all. But only opinion...may not mean much.

I agree that the tank seems to pop out...Try a semi-flat clear coat maybe?

I was thinking the same thing. It's funny, sometimes fusion comes out looking almost just like plastic without a shine, and other times, it comes out very high gloss. Never the way I want it though.
I'll run out and see if I can pick up a flat/satin top coat to use.

Fusion paint is a pain in the butt.
I like using normal paint over the rustoleum plastic primer.
More colors to choose from.
Plus the paint job ends up being much cheaper.
If you don't have the Rustoleum primer for plastic at your store.
Get Flat White Fusion paint as a Base coat.
Works great. Then just sand it with 320 grit and paint with normal paints.End result is superb!!!

Example:

LEXUS Type-R

The silver is Normal Rustoleum Paint!!!

Painting is just a pain in the butt
I try to avoid it now if I can because for all the work I put into it, the kids just run into things and destroy the paint job.
I started off painting all of mine, but I quickly grew tired of it. Any way, I was able to dull the finish a little, but it's still glossy. I'm pretty happy with it. It's up for sale now, so if the buyer decides they want the seat painted to more closely match the gas tank, I'll oblige for them.

Good idea on the tank color. If you can't match it, just make it fit somehow. Looks good....ebay?

Drive it like you stole it!........out of somebody's garbage!

Thanks
I just put it on craigslist for now. If nothing happens in a week or so, I'll put it on Ebay.

Based on the ones we laugh and point, you might do better on eBay...
